first check up

We had Macy's first check up yesterday and everything is going really well. She now weighs 8 pounds and is 20 inches long. She is right in the 50th percentile for babies. She will have to have a hip ultrasound just to make sure everything is ok, it is something they do on most breech babies. We will have that September 20th so say a little prayer for us that everything is just dandy. I would hate for her to have to go through anything else. She has already seen enough at her young age. She is sleeping really good for daddy and me, she is usually up just to eat at 2:00 and at 6:00 and then up for a couple of hours at 10:00. We are enjoying everything and our trip to Mitchell for the appointment was really good. Now tonight we will try our first football game to cheer on daddy and his team, wish us luck.

now you can all finally see her nursery

IT'S A GIRL!!!

Macy Donetta Koupal was born on Wednesday, August 10th at 9:23 am. She weighed 7 lbs, 2 ounces and was 19 inches long. The baby is doing well, she has been on oxygen since birth because of fluid in her lungs. Mommy and Daddy are doing great! They will be at Avera Queen of Peace until Saturday August 20th. CONGRATULATIONS, Koupals!

finally

Tomorrow is the big day for us and baby Koupal. We will be at the Mitchell hospital at 6:30 tomorrow morning and be having a c-section at 9:00. We are so excited, nervous, anxious, and every other feeling that there is. I will have my sister post pictures in the next couple of days. Stay posted and say a little prayer for us. Tomorrow morning we will officially be parents, WOW!

really huge news

We found out that the baby is still breech and we have an appointment for Tuesday morning, August 9th at 9:45. If at that time, the baby is still breech then we have a c-section appointment set up for Wednesday, August 10 at 9:45. So if you guys are wondering why the count down changed, that would be why. We are so excited and so very ready for all of this. It is all that consumes our minds right now. So that’s the plan, Tuesday we go to the doctor and Wednesday we could be having our little angle. Feel free to come up to the hospital at any time to take a peek and say hello. The baby and I will be in there until some time on Saturday or Sunday. I will post on here Tuesday to let everyone know if Wednesday is a go for sure or not. Wish us luck and say a little prayer for us.

stubborn baby

The appointment went well last Wednesday; however the baby is still breech. The doctor seemed a little more concerned this time. He did an ultra-sound and said that my placenta is on the surface of my stomach and that there isn’t a lot of fluid in my uterus. These make it a lot more difficult for them to try to turn the baby from the outside. The baby doesn’t have fluid to float so it is harder to turn it and there is a great chance of tearing my placenta and that could cause great complications. We have an appointment again tomorrow where I hope we will find out a lot more information. I am pretty sure that the baby is still breech but we will find that out for sure tomorrow.
