EASTER!

Easter was a blast. My family (the Wince side) all came from Rapid, my sister and her husband and son came from Gillette, and my brother and his girl came down from Mitchell. We had a good time, as we always do when we all get together. I just love my family!

A few firsts.

First time in my own bed.

First bath by myself.

Wrapped up in my towel after my first bath.

First floor time with my sisters starring at me!

First visitors at my house to welcome me.

First bath with my sisters.

Finally got to go home!

We did eventually get out of the hospital though and are home and having a great time. He was discharged on Tuesday, April 7th and we were so happy to get back home to our girls...and they were excited to have their little brother home to hold and love on!

How it all began...

I will just start with how it all began for those of you that didn't get on the caring bridge site. Michael Cruise Koupal was born on April 3rd, 2009. He was 8lbs, 2oz and 21 in. long. However, when he was born he had a little fluid in his lung which caused him to breathe a little fast and thus putting a tear in his lung. This area of this lung started to collapse and that's when they decided to send him on to Sioux Falls. One of the scariest moments in a mother’s life, but we survived. The tear ended up fixing itself and now he is a normal, typical, I eat all the time and sleep even more, newborn!
